Music to Warm the Soul

For more years than we can remember, a rich vein of excellent music has flowed through the streets and hostelries of Stony Stratford.

Following on in the tradition of more well established local music events like Folk on the Green (now in it's 42nd year) and the more recent week long multi-venue Stony Live!, WatlingFest offers a late Autumn feast of free family-friendly musical entertainment.
Building on the success of the music stages in the High Street from previous years, WatlingFest takes it to the next level.

Where and When
Moving to the Market Square has enabled us to provide a much bigger stage with a better PA, and also avoids clashes between the music from the stage and the music for our Morris Dancers in the High Street.

Lantern Procession
Starting at 12.25am, WatlingFest runs all the way through to 4.20pm, followed by the arrival of the Lantern Procession, the official Switch-On and finishing with community Carol Singing (a much loved and frequently requested part of the day).
It also gives everybody something good to listen to and with a pub literally yards away and an excellent pig roast  what more could anyone hope for?

Who and When
Featuring a carefully chosen programme of some of our best local performers, WatlingFest provides something to appeal to all ages and tastes, so expect an eclectic mix of different musical genres and variety from start to finish.
