Michael Squire

Michael Squire was born and brought up in Bromley, Kent, where he started listening to David Bowie and the Rolling Stones, Elvis Costello and new wave bands plus the great singer/songwriters including Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell. He started writing and playing in bands in the early 1980s. Music projects in recent years include the folk duo Higher Plane and an occasional band The Mike Squire Collective. In his writing he likes to focus on lyrics that tell stories, sometimes tall or imagined, occasionally true.

The Brave Marauders

The Brave Marauders are a group of friends who live around Stony Stratford, singing all kinds of songs. We are all long experienced vocalists with a consuming passion for good music and entertainment. We perform old and new material, acapella. Our aims are to have fun, entertain and to preserve and promote the songs and music we love. We wouldn’t be traditional British singers if there wasn’t a strong element of sea faring within our repertoire. …. Why don’t you come to see us and join in a song or two?
